Default welding honda valvecovers a problem?

Is it a problem to weld the valvecovers? I have to make additional vents for my turbo setup.
Somebody here wrote that there is magnesium in the aluminium and it would weld like ****.

Thanks so far

Why do you need to make additional vents for a turbo setup?

It welds fine, just make sure it's clean.

Any suggestions for the additional material (hope it is the right word in english - I mean the material that you have to take to weld the vents with the valvecover)?

Additional vents to release the blowby gasses

Thanks so far

Wont cast aluminium turn out a little funny when welded to a solid peice of non-cast aluminum. I'd think the cast metal would metal before the solid. Just a word of warning before you start.
