Default DO I NEED TO CUT MY LOWER BUMPER SUPPORT FOR IC??? SEARCHED

I have a 93 hatch with a JRC 6" IC. I bought from a guy that had it on his EG so it already had brackets that go under the bumper support for mounting. I mounted it up no problems, but when I put the front bumper cover on I had to cut everything behind it like normal from what I searched. But I can't get my side mounts that connect to the fenders to line up right. The lower piece of the bumper that has 2 bolts for under the car won't work because the IC is farther down so it just sticks out and down preventing being bolted up.

Can I cut the lower part that bolts up under the car and use my top and side mounts of the bumper to hold it? Any ideas let me know... The car is Flat Black and I used 3 big black zip ties for now but I'm not driving the car till my turbo setup gets on.

Yeah you could just cut it all off, that is how I have been doing it for months now. I would just suggest cutting out around the IC. That way you still retain some support from the bottom part of the bumper.

Sorry for the shitty pics, they were taken with a camera phone. Anyways, I was able to keep my stock grill and side vents on my bumper with the JRC 6" on my eg. Basically what I did was just shave the parts that stuck out in the back of the bumper, and made sure that my endtake piping cleared underneath the side vents , since they stick out in the back too.

You said that you already cut out the middle grill in the bumper and side holes for the bumper still dont line up so you screw the bumper into the fender? There shouldnt be anything in the way.

with a 6" you should be ok with the support, just trim the bumper in some spots.

Depends on which front mount you do.... maybe a slight shaving but thats about it

Yeah I cut everything that stuck out behind the bumper "EVERYTHING" even the 2 side vents. If I cut anymore I will be cutting the grill part of the bumper. The main thing that is holding things up is the lower piece that gets bolted under the car. The IC hangs down to far and the lower won't bolt up. I can live with how it's bolted up now but I just don't like having the big gap around 1" 1/2 gap. I'll take it back off and look around to see where I can cut more.

mount the IC a little higher. Its under the bumper support correct? Is there any little gap between the bumper support and the IC? Keep that to a minimum.

I already thought of that and when I installed it I checked it and the mount was flush with the bumper support. There is no way I can bend the bracket it runs straight off the ends of the IC.
