Default Help me out with my motor!

Hey guys, i got a b16a4 and i was wondering what it would take for me to hit mid 14's or faster 1/4. I heard a lot of things with ctr cams and skunk 2 stage 2 cams with valve trains and the whole fuel managment. Could someone help me out with that's best for my car and not blowing my motor up? Remember, my goal is mid 14's or faster. Thanks

ctr cams w/ stock valvetrain is fine, and cheaper then the s2s2. second, bet would be tires and launching. intake header exhaust

Start off with a set of used CTR cams. They wont lose there value and the are good for a starter cam. If you want to take it further you could run some Buddy Club Spec 3+'s on your valvetrain.

When you plan on taking it all the way, some Rocket valvetrain components and M22x cams have been the most proven B16A HP makers ive ever seen.

Do a search on Omniman and 200hp b16

Well, what i did was Intake, header, and test pipe stock exhaust. I didn't want that loud noise.... i was thinking about 2 1/2 custom pipping with the stock muffler but i dont think that'll help at all. So just CTR cams should help that much? I doubt i'll be doing mid 14's

It depends on how much you want to spend. You could also bump up your compression a bit, get some cam gears, and have the engine tuned. A good tune should get you there. You could also think about lightening up the car.

sounds like another good candidate for a nitrous kit running a 75hp shot and some CTR cams plus I/H/E and you'll be running at least 14.5's or faster all day if you're a decent driver. You'll also be within your budget too. And...NO you will not blow your engine up using nitrous.
