its a b20 motor low milage with an ls tranny

ok i changed the tranny oil
changed the oil
spark plugs

drove it and seemed fine

after about 10 min it bogged like it wanted to die. i drove it home turned it off
and when i tried to restart it it wouldnt. i changed the whole distributor and got it
to start but it idles bad and if i put my hand by the muffler i can feel the air and its white and smells like gas.

any help would be greatly appreciated thanks


update: i got home checked everything turned the car on it has a rough idle and if i put my hand by the muffler it wets it and it smells like gas really really strong and help please.

well since no one is replying might as well give it a try.

How's your compression? when you say you changed the distributer, did you change the rotor and cap?

 

White smoke is not cool, check the comp. Is there any oil in your radiator or resivoir? Sounds like a possable bad head gasket.

you have an ls? the compession isnt that bad, but also isnt that good. How much smoke is coming outta the tail pipe? or where is the smoke coming from?

looks like a possible small damage on the headgasket towards 3 and 4, but not bad, how's your coolant, oil?

could be a head gasket,, or bad rings on ure 3rd and 4th pistons. about the bad idle im not sure.. hmm
i just read the smells like gas part. after driving alittle does it still idle crappy at a stop?

 

did you check your idle control valve?

 

if it smells like gas, check your fuel system right away, for any leaks, check the injector seals also.

 

White smoke may be from bad head gasket.

 

ok the car is still idling pretty rough and i noticed gas coming from the
exhaust manifold. i looked at the injectors and noticed one was staying on
which i think that might be the problem if anyone has any other suggestions
