ls/vtec question
i have a 96 integra ls. motor is in the car and i don't feel like takin aprt the bottom end when i'm doing ls/vtec i wanna just do the minor things to get it going and with what i have (ctr oil pump, gsr water pump, gsr timing belt, b16 complete oem head, itr headstuds, ls head gasket, itr ecu). Now leaving the bottom end stock and not revving past 8k for a dailey driver would this be pretty reliable. Also with only revving it to 8k maximum would there be enough valve relif on the piston so i dont have any issues there. On-budget-reliability-8krevmax. anyone that knows anything or even had or new someone with the same setup let me know.
well after having the set up you will be temped to rev hard....
only best advise is to have a good fuel management system to keep you running
good
also get the arp head studs since you not going to upgrade anything else...

i also HIGHLY recommend that you consider upgrading the rods and/ or rodbolts. you're going to have the head off, anyway. it's not THAT much more work to go ahead and fix the things that are known to be common problems.
one more thing...i dont know how easy it is to come by a ctr oil pump, how much they are, or if they even differ from the type R oil pump (which is the same as a gsr, by the way), but a gsr one will do nicely (if its even any different from the ctr).
