Default JDM ITR or Toda A?

I'm ready to plan for my next mods to my car. I have been looking into gettin some internal head components and thats all. Should i get JDM ITR cams or Toda Spec A cams? With the extra money saved on the ITR cams i could get a Skunk2 Intake manifold and a new intake, maybe a new throttle body (how much do those cost? preferrably same size as itr).

my current set up i/h/e.

if you have enough money to pay for toda a's why not get the b's or c's
there pretty much the same price

Not too sure about passing smog with B's or C's. Also the B and C require high compression to fully use them to their potential and also require the toda valvetrain.

if you areworried about passing smog, here is an easy way not to worry about it. come smog time put the stock ones back in and call it a day and don't sweat about it. my suggestion toda...... B spec! the C spec are to *** for a mild motor.... especially a stock one.

for the price, get ITR cams. If you get ITR cams, you will NOT have to worry about changing valve springs, raising the redline, increasing compression, bad idle, not passing smog and so on. Toda cams will not give you their full potential quitout increasing the CR (maybe 5-6 whp over ITR cams).

i haven't dynoed my car with my mods, but i dynoed with my aem cai at 143. I'm gonna take out the bypass valve for my next dyno, take off my ps belt and advance my timing at the same time.

This is what i had in mind for my set up...OBD 1 chipped ecu w/Harness, ITR intake valve springs (move gsr instake to exhaust side), Skunk 2 Intake Manifold, ITR throttle body, ITR aem cai, itr cams, skunk2 cam gears, mugen head gasket, vtec controller, dyno tuning.

Thats all added onto what i have already, aem cai, jdm 4-1, apex n1 cat-back.

With that set up, could i possibly see 180's? Or am i being too optimistic?

a bigger TB will not do squat, but hey it's your $$$
I don't think changing to OBD 1 will give you much either. I would use that money towards somthing else. IMO

well originally my plan was to raise my rev limiter to 8500. My options are either an ITR ecu or a chipped OBD 1 ecu. I'm opting for the chipped OBD 1 ecu since OBD does respond better to mods. I also would not have to deal with the ignition chip stuff. Larger throttle won't do jack ? Hm...I always thought it helped. But if i get the skunk2 intake manifold, i'm going to have to find something that will fit it. They don't make itr style aem cai's with a 2.75 in. diameter do they?

well, you will get 1-2 whp, but is it worth $500? The cheapest thing is to send your TB to RC to get it overbored.

a lil OT but when i was cleaning out my AEM CAI filter, i took off the bypass valve and the cotton part tore...
anyway i got a silicone tube and connected the 2 pipes and the car feels stronger w/o the bypass valve...just a lil FYI

i say..ITR cams and with the extra 500~ get a JDM ITR header or VAFC

and yes really, the car pulls stronger and the intake is louder
