I've got my turbo kit going in a few weeks, I was needing some advice on a boost controller. The high-end digital ones are out of my price range. I was going to just pick up a TurboXS but I've heard people say they are crap because of spiking way up and settling really low.
So what do you guys recomend and where can I buy one?

 

just go make a cheap MBC at home depot. If you are not gonna spend the money one, why are you upping the boost?

Just wait till you can get a good MBC or get a cheap digital one.

No no no. i want to buy a quality one and will spend good money on it. I just said the highend digital ones are out of my price range, i'm looking to spend between 50 and 200 bucks on one. so give me some options guys. regards

 

I've also been searching around for a good boost controller . I recomend getting a turbosmart mbc controller . I believe the single starts out at like $70 and goes up to like $200 for a dual stage controller. Here's a link going on right now in the sponsor section. yeah i've seen good results with the turbo xs dual stage. thats what I have now

 

I have problems with the turboxs, the single unit. Likes to spike... check ebay for a used digital one..

 

my TXS HPBC broke on me.

Lots of people swear by hallman.

Turbosmart seems good too.

 

i can make a bleed valve style for 40 bucks. we have had one on our 240 with an s15 swap for over a year no creep at all. pm me is interested.

Turbonetics here, simplee. . .Not using it on this setup, just running off the WG spring, but with my FMAX manifold and t3/to4b turbo it never spiked. . . .

Here, you can kinda see it here, in the bottom left corner near the drivers side headlight. . . It's just a black ****. . .

well thanks for the great list of ones to look up for future purchase. For now though a good friend of mine (even though he drives and STi) gave me his used Joe P MBC. I've heard good things about these, they are cheap and reliable. Since I got it for free then I think the cheap part is self explanitory. I think in the future though I'll probably go with a greddy profec digital unit, but not untill next year when I do the full build on my motor.
