Default Will this swap work? OBD 1 ZC to pre obd question....

Ok here is the issue; I have a obd 1 DOHC ZC motor that I need to put into a pre obd 89 teg that has a non obd DOHC motor in it. The drivers side mount set up seems to be completely different. What do i need to make this swap work? Or do i need a pre obd Zc?
Thanks...

The overall obd1 ZC engine is completely redesigned and will not work in an 89 integra. You need to get a 1st gen ZC engine or at least shortblock and transmission (an use obd1 zc head) in order to make it work in the 89 integra.

scratch that...you shouldn't even bother trying to make your OBD1 ZC work in the 89 integra...way too many obstacles and headaches you will ensue.

Physically the mounts are different in the OBD1 ZC and even the OBD0 DOHC ZC as opposed to the 86-89 D16A1 Integra motor. The motor will not bolt in unless you were to make custom mounts and brackets. After tackling that, you would either have to back-date the electronics on the motor to OBD0 or convert the car to OBD1, all in all definitely not worth the trouble. Just look for another D16A1 for the Integra.
