do it!!!!!!!! spoon cams are the ****! depending how ur tuning is done afterwards you should get a nice smooth vtec kick in. i used spoon cams and adj cam gears tuned with dyno and VAFC2 and u get a much more linear power curve. Low cam vtec is set at 5000rpm and high cam switch over is at about 5600rpm i think but they pull real hard. mines putting out 143kw at wheels. cant remember what that is in HP but if it helps it was putting out i think 119kw before...
disclaimer: exhaust and CAI were also used to get 143kw out of my 97' JDM ITR

It depends on the tuner.
A skilled Hondata tuner might want the high lobes to come on as low as 3500, depending on throttle position, fuel condition, fuel pressure, spark advance available, what gear you're in....
It just depends.

Yes, there's only one profile.
They don't provide the most power you can get, but they provide a significant boost to a car that you'd expect to get long life out of, and they're very streetable and very tunable.
In a good tuner's hands, hell, you'd probably still get 26 miles per gallon.
What else have you done to your motor?

Not so well unless your in Japan, the ECU does better when in the climate in Japan it was designed to run in along with higher octane fuel.
Your better off getting a VAFC and about an hours worth of tuning.

I had no problems with my Vafc-2 on my ITR, think you need to check your connections.

it works fine for a while, then after 4 or 5 days a cel for the map sensor comes up. when i disconnect the vafc the problem never resurfaces. i'm pretty sure i read a post about some european members having a similar problem with vafc's

Well, if you want to get that technical, they didn't make any cams.
