Default Quick Disconnect Steering wheels

OK, since my fat *** is haveing a hard time getting in and out of the Miata with a racing seat in it I need to buy a QD racing wheel. I have a line on a Sparco wheel but need a hub adapter and QD assembly. Sparco is out (299) too much money....anyone here use another brand of QD hub with a Sparco wheel?

there is a vendor here that sells very nice splined hubs for ~$100
(username 1320 something iirc)
less extension than the ltb, which could be good or bad depending on what you want

I got one of these (based on recommendations here, JohnG I think it was) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

The seller is very good to deal with, I think I got mine for $71US. It's a very nice solid piece, but I have yet to install it. I like the 'paddle' release on it, much easier than a button.

I t appears the profit for the that hub is in the shipping cost.

Another economical way if you have a friend with a lathe, is to turn a spacer down to fit in a common stock style $39.99 release. Most hub kits fit a 3/4" shaft. I use a piece of 3/4 od tube, drill to fit the shaft, weld the bung on the shaft, and the weld the hub to it. Takes about 20 mins. This will also work on the 360* splined hub kits also. I have seen those for about $50.

I have these on over 10 Spec miatas, 2 it hondas and 4 spec rx7's.

True, but it was still way cheaper for me than anywhere else. By a lot.
