Default all motor ls/vtec in 00 coupe

My friend has a obdo ls block lying around that came out of his running g2 last year. that he sold the shell for.
He wants 100 for the block and its complete but i can get it for cheaper
i want to do a ls/vtec set up. i pretty much know what i need. But my question is about the wiring. my car is a 00 ex obd2. is it going to be complicated wiring in this obd0 block with a obd2 or obd1 head. I plan on getting either a b16 head with some jun cams or a itr head and rock the stock itr cams. i might go b16 though. I dunno my real question is about this nightmare of wiring i can put everything together but im concerned about the wiring. and what all should i replace to use this old block thats been sitting i kno i need vtec oil and water pump. should i upgrade pistons and rings? the only problem i think youll run into is your gonna need to swap the dizzy plug. u need a si dizzy plug. other then that get a obd2-obd1 conversion harness.

Dizzy plugs and knock sensors. Definitley going to be throwing a CEL most likely, all depends on your setup.

Which ECU are you going to use? Si ECU? De-Immobilized ITR ECU? OBD2-OBD1 conversion with P28?

obd2 to 1 jumper on a chipped p28.
might save the hassle and be going ITR
