yea i did it its realy easy. il tell you what i can remember then il look at it tonight and get back with you how to wire it tomaro. start on the driver door. there is a power and a ground coming from the motor. ground the motor to the door. then i just ran the power to the acsesories fuse in the interior fuse box. (radio fuse). then you dont have to turn on the fuel pump and **** to put windows up or down. then there are 3 wires left on the driver side and only 3 wires on the passenger. match these 3 wires together. you can run them through the door and through the firewall or just run them through the door and under the carpet. and now you got some power windows. oh yea i used like i think 16gauge electrical wire to extend all the wires cause the power windows i got were hacked up. but i dont know if you got the wires to connect driver and passenger or not. you can do the instal in prolly like 2 hours or less.

hrmm with your instructions you would only be able to run the motor in 1 direction. the stock system alternates which wire on the motor is ground and which is power (hence the 2 directions up and down). you will need no less than the door harnesses from a car equipped with power windows if you want it to be easier. also you will want to use the stock switches. get that stuff and I can help you from there.

Yeah the pics help out a lot about installing the motors but unfortunately for me I was not able to be as luky to get the whole wiring harness for the car so I am still trying to figure out what wires are what and where the can be hooked up to so it will operate in a factory way instead of rigging something to make it work. But thanks again for all the help guys.

nothing needs to be changed in the fusebox besides adding 3 fuses and the power window relay. you can use the 98 floor harness on the 99 but you will have to change a couple of the clips over. also you will need 96-98 door harnesses. the floor harness should always come from the same year group as the door harnesses.

I was just wondering about the fuses and relay you were talking about. Are the slots in the fuse box already made for fuses to go into or are their just blanks slots without any kind of connection on the back side of the fuse box on a 92 dx or cx? I have seen in past cases that all the fuse boxes are made with the same amount of slots but if the car was not wired for something from the factory the slot is there and labeled but when you put a fuse in it falls out because there isn't a connection on the back. Just a thought and if there isn't what is the correct way? Thanks again

The fuse panel is the same through all models. Only thing missing is the plugs that connects to the back of the fuse panel for your accessories. See my how-to

correct. all of the fuseboxes are exactly the same. only difference is what is connected to the back of it and just having to fill the slots with fuses.

i got my car wired up this weekend, used a 96-98 floor harness and 96-98 door harnesses. Put them in 99, the gray plugs on the 99 are different for the rear and the front. What i had to do was take apart the ex harness with the power wires for the windows and locks and change it over to the 99 harness, so i used all the stock plugs. Only wire i remember adding was a white/green to the big gray plug, and switching over about 8 wires that are color matched to the smaller blue plug. I didnt touch any other wires besides these and 1 ground wire that you have to cut to seperate the two.

see wasnt too bad was it? As long as you have the correct aprts it goes pretty smooth. If you happened to take any pictures of what you had to do to the clips Ill add them to the walkthrough and give you credit. Let me know or send me a pm.

Ok im confused, I have the power window regulator and wiring from the door of an Ex and want to install it in my Hatch. Do I need to run any wires from the door to the fuse box? or do I just install the regulator and wiring and plug it into the plug thats located in the door running into the car. What im asking is that did I need to get any wires that was under the dash of the Ex and install it under my dash? Please help.

you dont need anything under the dash. to make it plug and play you will need the floor harness from a 98ex also. the only thing you will need to do is take 3 wires from the old floor harness for your rear wiper to work. its all explained in my how-to.

I forgot to mention that I have a 92 civic. So do I still need a 98 Ex floor harness? Or do I need to get wiring from under the dash of the donor car which is a 94 civic?

i have a 99 floor harness and 99 doors...i attempted the install w/ your write up monicle, but the main fuse box plugs and rear plugs were different (lol, i wasted a whole day to figure that out). Is there a way to just wire up the 99 door harnesses to a relay that will power the doors, mirrors and speakers?...

no unfortunately not. you should be able to splice in the 96 clips from your origional harness.

You will need a 92-95 2 door or 4 door harnesses to be able to do a full oem install on your civic. with the 4 door harnesses, you will have extra wires that power the rear windows and locks in the main relay harness. If you're not running power windows then you also will have an extra pair of wires you don't need.

This is what you're going to need to do:

Run an Ignition HOT (Positive wire when the engine is turned on) to:
White/Yellow (driver door)
Blue/Black (pass door)

Run SEPERATE grounds to:
Black (driver door)
Green/Blue (pass door)
Yellow/Blue (pass door)

This is what I did for the EG ex doors into dx- only one downside, the passenger door can only be opened with the passenger switch; although the wiring can be done, I seen hardly any beneficiary gains with the complecated wiring it would take to wire the R-L switch.

Hope this helps and works for you; Good Luck!

What so complicated? All you have to do is run new wires across to the passenger side. I'm **** about having things work the way they were meant to, but hey, whatever works for you

you basicly have to do what i did, match up the wires in the blue plug and swap them over and add the white green wire to the gray plug. it sounds more difficult than it really is. keep all the wires going to the rear that are in the gray plug and in the front gray plug, just add the ones going to the passenger door and drivers door.
