-- how do you clean the headlight housing out after bulb explode? --
need help bad -- im kinda blind on the right side of my car after a stupid xenon bulb exploded (haha thats why i just posted about hid too)... anyway, can anyone explain how to clean it out -- what to use, or even how to get the housing out?
you have to remove it. Or vacuum it through a small hole.
It exploded? You probably touched the bulb when you installed it.
A lot of typing to get the housing out and I dont have Helms in front of me.

I would go to a carwash vacum(it should be a round nozzle).
Take the bulb/connector out, very carefully place the nozzel over the opening and let nature take its course.

well see i read that the xenon gas kinda puts a coating on the lens so i have to take out the housing and clean it somehow --?? ( i had the cheapo bulbs )
hmm has anyone actually done it -- i like the lens cleaner idea -- does anyone know where i can find a site to tell me how to get out the housing?

there are no sites explaining it, your going to have to go purchase a haynes or helms manual that explains how to do it.....or have a friend do it for you, why dont you just vacuum the housing out?
well like i mentioned before - the xenon gas garbage leaves film on the lens so either way ill have bad vision - i just need to figure out what to use to clean the lens as well as how to get in there and do it without screwing something up --- or if there is some easy way to clean it out
I like the lense cleaner idea but that will be time consuming. Theres no easy way that I know of getting access to the inside of headlights. You'll have to make do with the small little hole that the bulb goes through which wont give you all the right angles to wipe the inside of the headlight clean.
BUT taking off the headlights off the front of the car is easy. Just take off the bumper, (im sure you can find a site out there that shows you how) and remove the 4 bolts holding down the headlight. The HARD way of getting the front of the housing off would be to take a heat gun, and melt the silicone seal that holds the front and back of the headlight together, after taking off all the clips. I have never done this on an Intega headlight but I have had expereince with Accords and Civics. Just take your time. I also heard that you can throw the whole headlight in an oven and just heat it up enough so that the seal starts to melt. I don't like that idea as much since I think it could potentially warp something its not supposed to.
