Default eagle rods...what size of socket to use for rod bolt??

i was installing my eagle rods and i was trying to loosen
the rod bolt because they made it so tight. while i was
loosening the rod bolt it was getting rounded(stripped).
i was using a 10mm (12 point) socket. is this the right
socket or i need a standard socket. what size? i don't
have any standard sockets..
and one more thing. how many ft.lbs should i torque
the rod bolts? thanks..

It is possibly a 3/8
As for the torque specs, Eagle should have provided
a spec sheet.

unless they are new age, then they're 42 ft lbs...

those are 5/8....and will handle pretty much any rev you throw at them....

The L19 bolts as well as the CA (custom age) are 3/8" diameter. They are a stronger alloy and heat treat.
