Noise under the hood.
'99 V6
I think the bearing(s) in my power steering pump are going out. I've recently noticed some noise that sounds like somethings rubbing/dragging and after listening for it under the hood, the uppermost pulley seems to be the one making noise. So... assuming the worst, where's the best place to get a replacement power steering pump for the best price? Local junkyard? My power steering fluid is also looking as dark as oil thats in dire need of replacing; will replacing it solve/lessen my problem? What are my options/solutions?

Best thing to do is search ebay and find one that's just been pulled off. OR find a fresh parts car from a private seller. 
If you buy from a junkyard, you can't be sure if it operates properly till you hook it up.

i searched ebay and found nothing before i started this thread. guess itd be best to check daily, cause the cheapest remanufactured ps pump ive found is $210 with a $90 core charge, in other words, a RIPOFF.
