it cost me about $200 brand new from Sears. its not the best tool box ever but it holds the tools which i thought is the main purpose of a tool box. if i ever need more room, which i just about do, i will go buy the same thing and just have 2 of them. the drawers dont slide like ball-bearing drawers but i've never had a problem with them in the 4 years i've had it (the 1st pic is recent. the 2nd is right around when i got it). i have the entire 254 piece set from Sears in it plus a ton of other tools. plus i keep my tools organized all the time so nothing is ever on top of another or touching. so if you dont care about that you could fit a ton more in it

good boxes are expencive, make sure you buy one with a drawer lock so only one can open at a time..... i seen some guys open more than one at once.. and bam... it tips over and out goes all of there tools. I laugh seeing it happen to other guys but would be pissed if it was me.
And for tools, i buy Husky brand from Home Depot, there made by Snap-On.

They have that same stainless box at Sams for about $550. Damn nice box with bb rollers too. Snap On boxes are nice but way overpriced. If the sound of your drawers opening doesnt bother you then a basic craftsmen should do the trick. I have owned several different boxes(Snap On, Matco, Craftmen, Husky) and they all do pretty much the same thing, hold my tools.
Dont be afraid to go big either (size wise). I bought my first box about 8 years ago (craftsman) and added on to it until it is now eye level tall.
I thought getting rid of this one would be a waste, so now I'm that guy 2 damn boxes. Both almost identical.

Each caster is rated to hold 2000 pounds a piece i have thought about positioning a synchrowave 250 on top
oh it may seem big but it rolls like a simple pushcart
worth every penny

This is my Snap On Box, i honestly love it, ball bearing drawers, they hold weight too, i could pull out a drawer and use it as a step if id like. not flimsy or thin like other boxes

Is it just me, or do any of you guys have a supportive girlfriend/wife that understands you having so many tools/toys
. Mine used to give me grief about it, but now that I got everything cleaned up a bit, she comes and visits me while I'm working on stuff.
I'll start of by saying that my girlfriend has a favorite tool(s)
1. Pneumatic die grinder
2. Impact
3. Sawzall

Dude me too. I thought it was weird the first time she started grabbing me up when I was using my 18 volt cordless drill. I was closing off the heater duct with some sheetmetal screws.... Haha, must be a woman thing. And yes I am very lucky to have my sweetheart...

I just replaced my work tool box (an older MAC) with one made by Lista. It is very sturdy and was set to my specifications, including a stainless steel top. sorry no pics... after all, it's out at the hangar...
