New Moroso Road Racing Oil Pan!!!! Pictures Attached
To all I just got the NEW Moroso Road Racing Oil im pretty sure that im probally one of the first to get this new pan. This pan is made out of Steel for durability as aluminum was to vunerable to being damaged on car that road race and autocross., Im going to replace the drag racing moroso pan that i have now. I have attached pictures check them out. They have address the turbo OIL drain return by moving it up higher on the side of the pan as well as the baffeling is made for the road racers but will also work for us FI and Drag racing guys. And will solve the Low oil pressure problem when making a hard left turn that is experienced on the Drag race pan.
Best of all it USES the STOCK B series Oil pump Pickup.
I will call moroso techs again tommrrow moring to get another confirmation on the oil pump pickup i know the B16a and GSR are different. I personally have a GSR motor. I want to be sure that the right information for all the B16 guys.

L00ks like a stock pan that was modified a bit...
whats the cost?
...and I doubt anyone damages oil pans autocrossing, unless they're doing something very wrong.

on a related note, I ran across an ad from Canton Racing in Sportscar Magazine a few minutes ago. Apparently they are selling a roadrace oil pan for D and B series engines. They're priced at $375 direct from Canton. Maybe there are other retailers with lower pricing?
here's a pic of the B series pan:

Now that is a quality looking piece. Price is a bit steep, though...
The Moroso is acceptable I guess, but it looks like an overpriced DIY hackjob.

After looking closer at the construction, it appears moroso has copied the honda pan, made the sump deeper added a kickout to the pan and put in their own baffeling system. But heh for 247 bucks shipped you cant beat it.
CANTON products are nice too but you pay for them. and i dont know that they can use the stock pickup.

True... build quality and engineering does cost money but for something like this, I think it'd be money well spent.

And that is for any B series oil pump because the GSR B18 is different than the LS B18?

I'm not impressed by that pay i'd rather modify a stock one for a 1/4 of the price and it took them this long to fix there caivtation issue under left hand turn
I'd rather pay the full pop for a Z10 at least i know theres will work

What does this come with looks like it has a drain plug, oil temp bung and does the dip stick go into the pan? If no dipstick how would you check your oil level?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the dipstick go through the bottom edge/front of the block to get into the oil pan?

Dipstick goes in to the t00b on t3h front of the block, and down into the pan.
