question about vtec solenoid

Default question about vtec solenoid

i just bought a 96 spec R n i have an eg with obd1 everything n my question....is obd2 vtec solenoid the same as obd1?? TIA

..its the same in how it physically looks, but JDM OBD2 VT Solenoids do not have a VTPS (pressure switch - green sensor) whereas the OBD1 VTS's do. So, if you'll probably have to wire your VTEC up a little differently, unless you're putting an OBD1 VTS on your 96 ITR engine...
