Default HM Test Pipe

Hey whats up, I am going to try to make this as short as possible,
I decided to make a test pipe for my 87 ls
I take the old one out and cut it up and buy exhuast pipe and weld that in,
well i hate it, It sounds so much like a ricer muffler , its soooo choppy
when im sitting still and I rev it up, its sounds great but driving it is starting to make me mad, i cant stand it, its like a ricer reving there muffler while driving beside me, I am thinking about buying another cat and putting it back in,
A friend said now that the cat is out is should buy the flamthrower kit,( you can smell the gas all around my car when i rev it up) I said no,
Well just wanted to let ya know, and for me to vent a tiny bit

BTW, My muffler with out the TP is so deep it will rattle a thing or two in my room when its warming up in the morning, ( its an 87 ls) but now its just choppy
Also, I posted here cuz it has to do with my itnegra and i didnt see a place for exhuast

Later,

Thanks,

yes, most little 4 bangers will sound that way. Now if you had a chambered muffler instead of a straight through design, it probably wouldn't sound that way. I had test pipe before and it doesn't sound like the crap sound you speak of, but thats because it still had to go through a chambered muffler. I liked it

Ya, I dont know what im going to do, I might keep it then again i might not,
I saw one guy on the interstate that as I came up on him he started shooting flames out of his muffler, and it was one of those flame thrower kits
I did kinda like it but IDK, not only is the HM test pipe not legal on the street neither is the Flame thrower kit

IDK we'll see

the flame thrower kits are just gay IMO, only ricers would get that on their slow *** cars (because it would just add dead weight). The only cars that I know that shoot flames do it because they are fast and only as a side effect of turbo, exhuast and fuel management upgrades.

I cut the cat, cut the muffler, and put on tailpipe extensions. My ****'s 2.0 and sounds AWESOME! no ricey-sounding ****, just raw roaring.
