Default This manifold WILL get you laid...**56k-well worth the wait**

Most of you know me pretty well, and know that I have been looking for the last piece to my puzzle, my manifold. Its tough b/c there are alot of names anymore and you don't know who to turn to.

I went with a guy we have all grown to love, Turbo-Charged, aka Joe. We talked over pm, and I asked if he was interested in making me a manifold. He said he made them all the time @ his shop, but never for anyone online. I said I would be happy to be the first. We continued to talk, and after he knew what I was looking for he went to work.

All I can say is that I am MORE than pleased with his work and quality. Not only did he take GREAT care of me, and giving me exactly what I wanted, he went the extra mile and answered any questions I may have had and worked out a great price.

The welds are professional and the collector is a work of art. I couldn't have asked for anything else. He even took the extra time to completly polish it for me. It is so beautiful, I didn't want to put it on my car. Definatly a show piece. Not only will it make serious power, it will stand out while doing so.

If anyone here is interested in getting a manifold in the future, I would only consider Joe. To me there is no other competition.

Again, Thanks Joe.

Now, on with the pics....even though they don't do it justice.

Fresh out of the box

The collector

On the car

Perfection

I have my Tial wastegate 38mm w/10psi spring and my t3/t4 bolted up. Time to order my exhuast pipe and I will be back on the road in no time...

Thanks Joe....

Looks alright, fitup on some of the pipes look to 1/8" off. Some of the welds aren't even above the base metal (weld inherently weaker than the base). I can name a few that look better and probably perform better too.

If you didn't hype it up so much I wouldn't be so critical.

Pictures don't do it justice. He did a great job. I was super impressed. I have seen alot of mani's in person and this one shines far and above what I expected.

As far as performance, we shall see, I can't speak for that as of yet. I am sure it will flow just fine.....

Runner #1, especially.

Good luck with it! Get laid yet?

not bad...you did hype it up a little too much.

I believe it could get you laid if you dropped it on a chicks head when she bends over to look at your engine...."yeah thats where it will bolt to, go ahead look alittle closer" CRACK!!! (as the porno music fades in)

good luck with the dyno...and ***.

luckily nobody on honda-tech has a sense of humor! thanks to those who have either complimented or offered constructive critisism. all about helpfull critisism! my welder is a POS...my new one will be here before the end of the week...that should help a whole lot. pretty stoked on that. i'd say i wasted 3 hours on this manifold trying to get my welder to even opporate (which was disscused with the customer, and a direct reflection of the price) im ready to place an oder tomarrow on about 30 differnt misc. flanges. attitude means a lot to me where i spend my money...........

On a serious not you cannot claim getting layed on HT, without picture justification of teh @ss

mani looks pretty good like mentioned above fit on tubes may be off a bit and welds aren't the greatest

I'm not fond of how one of the runners has a sharp bend coming out the port.

Flow is not the only factor when determining horsepower potential with a turbocharged header Cast manifolds flow good its the length diameter of the tubing etc.

Sorry not trying to be over crtitical just pointing somethings out since it is somehting i do everyday
all in all good job

oh yeah and PICS (of teh @ss)

yea pics of the *** are def. good! haha. girls > cars haha

the sharp bend your talking about im assuming is cylinder number 1. its def. at a less of a bend then cylinders 2 and 3....maybe the pics are making it look weird?? same with the "poor fitment" of the 2 tubes on that same cylinder. i welded that after the 90 was welded to the collector. on the INSIDE of that runner..where its importnat...it lined up just perfect. maybe the bevel was a little off or something. it was a one off manifold welded done in my spare time ( i work atleast 60-70 hours a week..spare time is tuff to come by) and i had a deadline to meet with the manifold.

once again fighting with a POS welder....looking for any welding hints/tips. miller 250 is on the way

The pictures must make it look off. The runners are all about the same. No sharp bends.

I even noticed were he took the time to file down the sharp edges inside and make them flow evenly from one bend to the next.

Again....

I'm not quite sure I understand. Are you saying you welded the joint that is substantially off from the inside ?

it looks nicem but it looks like a copy of the SSAC manifold design. You should have gotten a ramhorn style manifold. Those look the best IMO. Nice job anyways!!!

the #1 objective of this manifold was to build anything else in the world OTHER than a ramshorn. not that there is anything wrong with them, but atleast 50 people on this board make them.

no that pipe was not welded on the inside, that would be impossible. the inner joints of that spot you guys are talking about line up just fine. if you look at the bottom its flush, and the top apears to be off a hair...but its just the bevel that isnt exactly lined up....however the inner diameter is lined up just fine. if you were to raise it up to where the top of it (the spot you guys are talking about now) lined up on the outside...then the inside of the bottom of it would not line up. i probably should have redone it......but when your working at 3am to ship a manifold out the next day...**** happens

I am super picky with stuff and that passed with flying colors. I did notice what they are talking about, but its perfect on the inside, and to me thats what matters. So what if its off a tad.....boo hoo...I could care less...function over form....
