Default B16 Swap into 95 Civic EX, Wont start still..

Okay so I have a 95 b16a JDM, going into a 95 civic ex. I used the stock D16 harness like you guys said, and I plugged in everything but the knock sensor and O2 sensor since I havnt re-routed it to the back yet. I put oil in and car cranks but wont fire. I checked for spark and I didnt see any, so then I put a paper clip into the plug near the ECU, to get the trouble codes to flash, and the light just kept flashing the same speed, now pauses or anything.
I was told by someone that I had to use my d16 distributor, and I had to re-wire some wires for them to be correct. But everyone says my harness plugs right up and everything should work.
Also, on the speed sensor, the d16 plug doenst slide all the way down, so I figure I have to cut the old one off the JDM harness and replace it with the one on my d16 harness so the plug fits??
Im lost now, any help would be awesome..

I had someone look at it that does swaps alot around here and he said I have to re-wire some ****, but like 10 ppl on here said I dont, except the knock sensor. So someone who can help me, please give me your thoughts on whats going on, especially since I cant get the ECU codes to flash.....

Checks and make sure you have all the grounds hooked up.

Yep. If the ground on your thermostat housing isnt good, you won't have spark...

i had a similar prob with my swap and it ended up being that the vtec and the coolant temp sensor plugs were switched, they are right near each-other and they have the same plugs. That wouldnt effect the spark but it will mess with the overall start-up of the engine.... just a thought, good luck

I dont see anything near the Vtech plug that can be swapped, I checked the grounds, and they aer all tightened up and to the chassis in correct places, No spark still. Im about to take it to Modacar in livermore because I cant get spark and the motor was tested before they shipped, and has a 100% start up warrenty so I dont see why they would ship it with a broke distributor..
Anyone else got any ideas before I spend 300+ for them to plug something in?
Or anyone live near the east bay, pittsburg, antioch, livermore, brentwood, oakley..??

If your using your D-series dizzy on it bad news. They don't match up. Make sure you get 12V at the dizzy (Balck/yellow or black/white, can't remember) Also make sure your valve cover ground is on a bolt that goes into the head. Since the VC is alluminum it doesn't conduct. Let me know if you have voltage at the dizzy and proper grounds. I have to go to sleep but I will be on tomorrow night and I can run you through the flow charts out of the Honda Factory Service Manual. Also remove the Dist cap and make sure the rotor and dist cap contacts look good.

I dont have the a voltage meter so Ill have to try to barrow one, the rotor was in tact and i've seen worse so I dont think its that. Ill move the ground to the head but ive seen alot of B series with their grounds on the Valve cover where mine was, and my SI was like that too. Ill move it and see if I get spark again. Thanks again

Oh and Im not using the B series distributor, not the D series. The engine should be fine, im positive almost its the wires because they wouldnt have sent a bad dist. over then have to resend another motor/dizzy...Doesnt make any sense since its warrenty..

I already said I have fuel, no spark, timing is fine the engine was running before I put it in..
I have no spark, thats why it wont fire. The problem is it doens flash codes for me, just keeps flashing ove and over..So I cant see what the hell is wrong..

My JDM motor had the same start up warrenty. I got a second dizzy cause my first one was fucked. Try and get the multimeter/voltmeter and see if you have any voltage with the key in the on position on those 2 big wires. Not both will have voltage, just can't remember which one has it in the on position off the top of my head. Once we asses that I will know where to go from here. I'm not sick of hearing it, I just want to lead you in the right direction.

Does the motor sound like it's trying to turn over but not getting any fuel? Take a 9v battery, two wires that are good conductors. Remove the injector clips from the injectors and place the two leads from the 9v onto the injector tips, you should hear it start to click. Do that for about 20-30sec on each clip. This is just to make sure your injectors aren't stuck if the motor was sitting for awhile. Also check your MAP sensor & the thermostat ground like somebody else said. Good luck!

Oh also make sure the spark plugs and wires are good, check the gapping on the plugs while you're at it. Might as well do compression also.

plug the O2 and knock sensor again and try that. Also make sure you have all of the conectors going to the right locations. Read a wiring print out. You have to start with all of the stuff that you messed with and double check everything

Also you should use the B16 distributer.
