Default d series cam - auto x and daily driver

first off - heres my setup - d16z w/ 10.5:1 cr, crower valve spring/ret, everything else is pretty much stock - rev is set to 8200

I'm looking for a cam that will give me good power while retaining a decent mpg avg - since I will be driving the car every day and auto x on the weekends

I like the price of the comp cams - $239 from IPP for stage 1 or 2 (wife gave me a budget) - but am unsure of mpg/perf

post serious opinions and experiences w/ performance and gas mileage please - i'd prefer to advoid smart *** / dumb *** replies

i dont know any information personally, but i have heard many great things about the stage 1 comp cam...ie people using it in thier daily drivers, and getting close to normal gas mileage, with a noticable difference in power

you can also get a good cam gear (i heard aem gear is nice) and tune it to your daily needs, and then when you auto x tune it for that also

Yeah I was really considering the stage 1 - the only thing is stage 2 is the same price - I basically dont want to get stage 1 and find out that 2 is much better with still decent gas mpg . . . thanks for the input

go with the 59300, the idle is alittle lumpy and a little higher but nothing that will be annoying, and you can get the 59300 for 200 bucks shipped on ebay if you look
