Separating steering knuckle from upper control arm on a eg coupe
Does anyone out there know how to separate the front steering knuckle from the upper control arm? I was able to separate the steering knuckle from the lower control arm with a ball-joint puller but it doesn't work the same was for the upper control arm, the puller is too big.
Spray some WD-40 and use a ball joint seperator and a big *** hammer. Remove the cotter pin and unbolt the nut , but dont remove it completely so when the upper control arm seperate, it dosent go flying everywhere. A few bangs will do the job!

When i use a "big *** hammer" where am i suppose hit it at the ball joint seperator or the knuckle itself?
