Question about hooking up power windows.
Hey guys I have a pair of power window regs from an EX. I have some of the wiring but no relay or anything like that. I was wondering if I can just hook up the windows straight to the battery without any other stuff to kind-of ghetto rig it? Any input would be helpful
um..... no... hells no...
you must have a circuit of relays and fuses... at least four relays... and don't get any kind of B+ power from the battery... that's retarded... there are plenty of spaces on your fuse box to get a B+ circuit going...
don't mickey mouse your ****... you do... and you lose...

oh ****... sorry kid... that's used alot around the shop... and the black folks at the dealership don't mind... they use it too... i will edit it out... i seriously didn't mean to offend anyone..
Its always been my stand that if you cant afford to do something right you shouldnt do it at all. Yes it can be done It would be best to use no less than the stock door harnesses for the switches. You will also need to run several inline fuses. relays arent necessary but not having them will cause stress on your regulators and will lead to eventual early failure. Just look up the wiring diagrams and itll be fairly easy to figure out.
