Default dyno of my b16- 178whp, 120ft/lbs

177.7 hp & 119.5 ft/lbs of torque. This was all on a stock b16 block @ aprox 10.8:1 CR.

Mods are:
Apex N1 exhaust
Password Carbon fiber intake
DC 4-2-1 header (yea, I know, I know. )
powercore race cat
skunk2 intake manifold
ITR throttle body
skunk2 stage1 cams & cam gears
alaniz street master head work
mugen head gasket
omnipower valvesprings, retainers, & high compression valves
ITR LMA's
Hondata IM gasket
Hondata S200 tuned by Shawn Church

I was very pleased with these numbers, especially considering the block is untouched so far.

Let me know what u guys think, thanks.

Nice peak numbers! It looks like it's breathing really well up top...

Do you know what your compression ratio is with those new valves?

Yea, it is, thanks. Especially since my s2s1 cams would be considered relativly mild cams. My tuner contributed the good peak hp up high to the great work Joe Alaniz does on the cylinder head.

I called omnipower & they claim .3 bump in CR with those valves. Plus .3 for the head gasket so I'm at aprox 10.8:1 now since its a usdm b16.

Awesome.. Man, in that case all you need to do is get a nicer header!

After seeing this, it looks like I'll have to consider Alaniz when I'm in the market for some port work.

Sweet numbers, chief.

I only pulled 164 WHP, but I'm at stock compression, and tuned with only a Skunk2 ECU and VAFC2.

Im working on saving up for a better header right now. However, I'll probably switch to a high flow cat when I get the header, so Im not sure if I'll really gain anything.
It will be:
Before- DC header w/ no cat
After- JDM ITR header w/ high flow cat

So I dont know if I'll really gain much, but I guess we'll see.

$675. he just raised the price to $725, but he gave me the old price. Also since he disassembles the head u can have him install any valvetrain parts u want @ no extra cost.

Nice. I have a very similar build for my B16 in the works (to include the Alaniz headwork with the only differences being in cam and header choice and a .020 mill) and I hope I can achieve the same results or at least in the neighborhood. If I can, I will be very happy.

does that include shipping of the head, or just plate labor rate??

just labor, thankfully I live about an hour away from him so i just drove it there & back. He did offer to ship it back to me for free though, since he didn't have it ready when expected, but i still drove & picked it up so i could discuss with him everything he had done.

I am mailing my head to him from Texas. Joe told me he can do the Street Master setup, install my valvetrain, and have it back to me within a week. I plan on sending mine overnight to expedite it since time is totally limited (I'm having me do it over Spring Break because of school and work). He also includes return shipping in the cost as well (around $50 or so).

That's the one nice thing about living in CA. But we have to deal with CARB & 91 octaine gas.
