Weight reduction during swap...
I guess I finally decided on dropping a used JDM B20A5 insted of B16A conversion or B21A - which is too hard to find for a good price. I hate 88-91 preludes power steering setup, I would rather have power steering completely gone. My swap will be done within' a week, I think I might go ahead and have the shop remove power steering completely, remove A/C, and window wash manifold. Any other weight reductions I can take out? I need room for a LudeSPEED turbo if I ever get one. Either than or sell for an EK.
Any insight would be great...
FYI - If I do decided to turbo, here is a big reasone why. This is Chris from hondaprelude.com this is what he said, "See that power steering line that runs right over the exhaust manifold? That burst and the engine caught fire. The car is a total loss. If you turbocharge your 3rd gen definitely reroute that power steering line!!!"

if you are really looking for more room, relocate the battery to the trunk with a relocation kit. they are only like $50 from a parts store. does your prelude have 4ws?
Don't forget to get the a/c condenser removed it was the best mod i ever had done because it was 13 pounds and non-functional. The added bonus i got was that my car just hovers over the C* on my water temp guage... and leave the ac fan in and hook it up to a switch for extra air for the turbo later. it work really wellin fact it is responsable for keeping my 3rd auto tranny alive...other than that you can drill 2" holes in your bumper support for about 3 lbs....heat shield.....2lbs.... Find headers for a b20a and chuck that exaust manifold.....for about 10lbs. do't quote me on the exact weight tough!!!!
They are almost the same, but USDM CR is 9.0:1 whereas JDM is 9.2:1 I believe. It's not a very talked about engine, hard to gain knownledge on it...
another thing you could do would be to get a fuel cell and remove your gas tank. but, make sure you strip down your trunk to just the bare metal, since you really won't be using it any more with a fuel cell in the back.
if you aren't that fond of your sunroof, or if you don't really open very often, take the sunroof out and just have the glass permanently fixed to the roof. or get a custom plexiglass piece made to fit. the sunroof assembly is pretty damn heavy.
other than that, the only other thing you can do to lighten the car (along with the other mentioned stuff) would be to start taking metal pieces off of the inner frame. like the inner door frames and the hood - or get a cf hood, and all that metal in the back where the speakers mount and the seat rests. if you still have the seats in, you could take those out for a few less pounds. you can't really make those cars that light without removing parts of the body.

Today I went to the shop to check out the swap and the engine. The JDM B20A5 (I've never seen one before) looks great, looks different than B21A engine. The head looks larger - cams. The stock header that was on the JDM engine had 4, yes 4, oxygen sensors - or other sensors. Which doesn't matter, I had my brand new B21A header installed on it anyway. It fits, other people said it wouldn't... I proved ya wrong (not talking in this topic). I needed a new clutch, so the the swap won't be done until next week, damnit! I just got a OEM clutch.
I am very excitied, and can't wait to get my car back! I guess I will take pictures when its done, and finally hook up my autometer a/f gauge.
