Start by waiting longer before bumping your thread. How long you has the motor been in? How many miles before the CEL? And what do you plan on doing with your car? The LSD is for sure better, but is the $$ worth it for what you want from it? What about other mods that you may want to do

well the motor has been in there for like the last 4 months and it has happened since i swapped it in. around 5-8 minutes of driving the CEL is on. right now i just got injen intake dc sports header and customized exhaust. my plans are building an all motor 12 sec daily driven hatch..i was wondering if the jdm tranny would help me reach 12's cuz right now i cant reach under 13.4's

Does the CEL only come on after the car is warm under low'ish RPMs (IE doing 90 kms/hr in 5th typa thing)?

Does it dissapear after you turn the car off and back on ?

it comes on ONLY after 5-8 minutes of driving...when i turn the car off and then on the CEL turns off....I dunnoe i think it might be the knock sensor since obd2 have knock sensor and obd1 does have knock sensor so the ecu is probably lookin for it but its not there so thas why it turns on thas my assumption but i will try to search some more...is it worth to invest in a JDM LSD tranny? and how much do those go for and wuts the difference between the jdm and usdm ones? info would be greatly appreciated

Well first off, being as it's reset everytime, I wold say it's a warning only.

As a rough guess ? I'd say it's an EGR warning. Is your EGR wired up ? BTW, OBD1's have a knock sensor.

I have a JDM LSD tranny and I think it's worth the money. Comes out of corners much better/smoother and I find launches are improved. If your planning on more power, it's worth it but they can be tricky to locate.

Getting the actual CEL code would no doubt help you determine the problem. You know how?

From what I've read? Stay away from Phantom Slip .... do some searches here and you'll get my drift. Find an actual H22 LSD tranny

You need a tuner to get rid of that speed limiter, it's part and parcel witht the P13.

Buddy of mine launches his at like 2600-2800 and I've seen him pull a 14.2 ....

No, you should stick with your P13 ecu over the P28 because it's orginally designed for an H22 2.2L engine, whereas a P28 is not even tho it can technically power/run your engine its just that the programming is not as sufficient as it would be if you stick with your P13/H22 ecu.

I'm betting you're either getting code 12 (EGR) or the knock sensor (code 23).

If you switch ECUs, just make sure you get proper tuning.

Being as you cannot Hondata a P13, I'm getting rid of my stock ECU this spring. Gonna run P72 with s200 Hondata.

This is where I found my LSD tranny:

On obd1 cars installing a block off plate can be used if the egr system is hooked back up. I know some guys have used just any old metal (even soup/pop cans which will melt, don't do it) to block it off.

I've also heard that you can buy an aftermarket block off plate. I'm looking for one and will post up whatever I find. Sorry for the hijack.

Si
