235's are the biggest id put on a 6th gen and i doubt the previous gen can hold wider tires.

my clearance is very tight with my 215's on 17x7.5's in the back lowered with neuspeed sports...the upper control arm is about 1/4" away from rubbing the rear tires...225's would definitely require spacers, so i'd think 245's would be an absolutely not w/o spacers...

... but what if you removed the front fenders and and put some 10" wide wheels with a really low offset and 305 tires! yeah yeah yeah!

the issue isn't the front, it's the back...

i currently run a 17x7'' w/ a 40mm offset with 215/45/17. the car is lowered 1.75'' on B&G proggresive rate springs and kyb shocks. i have been wanting to step up to a 225/45/17 but looking at what i have now i dont think i can even fit that. so in short, i dont believe there is any chance you will get a 245 on there. what is everyone else running on their 5th gens?? im curious as to how wide we can go.

215/45/17 is what i'm using...that's the widest i've heard anyone using in the back...front i've heard of people stepping up to 225's with small rubbing issues when the wheels are fully cocked, but i'm not much for staggering tire sizes in fwd cars...

I have 225/45/16 on a 16x7 rims lowered on skunk 2 springs which is a 2.5 inch drop I think. Absolutely no rubbing whatso ever not even when taking hard turns. With the room I have I think I could fit 235's with minimal rubbing if any 245's would definantly be iffy.

i had 235/40 17, with no issues of rubbing on my 97 lx...plus the back wheels tucked a bit since i had sleeve type coilovers, and dropped it way too low. The rims i had were 17x7.5, and had a 42mm offset.

I wouldnt suggest going any wider, because the tires in the front would barely clear the inner fender while turning, but the back seem to fit fine, i think 245 might fit in the back, but dont take my word for it i have never tried it.

with the right offset you can fit anything, but it will probably look like *** sticking out of the side,
