any nonricers....run 13's?

i know theres alot of ricers here because theres no parts and cause of post about euros

 

don't judge all of us by our worse kind...hehe...but my best run is 14.6

Even though thers nothing out for it yet, you can ALWAYS do head work and hit high 13'z all day long. If you know anything you should know this. Port n polished, shave the head a little, shorten the valve stems. open header and some good dope slicks? it can happen. thats under a grand of work too easy. Im saying this because i was going to do it, but said it, im going to make my car look nice and then when they come our for cams and other motor get that.

anywone know if comp. makes cames for rsx yet?

Little trick . Ask around....it improves your throttle response alot. almost feels like nitrous when u punch on it. Yup yup.

RPM CRAZY are u in the 13's yet?

NostraDEIMOS' trap speeds was 90mph looks like he doesn't have enough hp to run 13's yet. But he is a good driver to be able to get a 14.6@90mph.

and with slicks alone it be easy to kill a second especially with all that torque in the S.

that's a prettly low trap speed for a 14.6 run.

 

I don't know if that's possible. Maybe you mean 15.6 @ 90? That's more likely

 

it is possible if you get a good launch. cause if your on slicks and get a sub 2.0 60foot then your in the 14's ez. The thing is that your car doesn't have Horsepower to obtain higher trap speeds. The slicks and lack of hp keep the traps low.

i've seeen 14.2@96mph on a lightly modded GSR. Crazy launch!

 

nah, i decided to get wheels, do piping, and get my intake/coilofers. head work will come after i hti about 15grand, spin the bearing a little you know break the bitch in.

but i kno with the modz i listed on some slicks, 13z all day. ALL DAY.

 

yeah...my run was 14.6@90...a lot of it was having a good launch/minimum wheel spin...and also a QUICK reaction time...i was a little confused myself when i saw my trap speed because i thought it'd be higher than that...by the end of the track i had just shifted into fourth gear...in case anyone was wondering

Maybe I'm missing something, but won't a shorter valve stem just give you less lift & a shorter duration?

Thought you were talking about street tires... and was thinking the only way possible that could have happened is if you had a fast car but just let off at the end of the 1/4.

Impressive though, even on slicks

 

one time at the track I ran 15.4 @ 93. I guess I had the power, but I screwed up the launch.

that is strange...I ran a 15.16@93.7...Need to get the launch a bit better I guess...I can't find my slip or I could tell ya me reaction time...Oh well no big deal...
