Hey i just have a quick question here...
My buddy recently put in a JDM b16 in his 5th gen sedan. the ecu is for the jdm motor and the wire harness is a combo of the stock and the jdm. Ocassionally when he is driving it will throw a code 23 when he hits VTEC for the knock sensor. He says they wired it in correctly, and i imagine they did considering the code isnt on all of the time.
I had this same code when i had an h22 in my hatch and i needed a new knock sensor because mine was broken on the h22 i got from the junk yard. I am going over to take a look at it tomarrow...do any of you have some guidance as to what i should look for? Could it be timing related? Any help is appreciated.

The guys were i work said to make sure when they wired it up to use a shielded wire. I then asked my friend how they did it and he said they used the stock wire for the knock sensor all the way back to the shock tower connector. Im sure that there is no problem then in that section of wire. I made sure he is using premium gas...he is. Im running out of ideas here...anyone have any guidance?
