Default NASA @ VIR this weekend - bring your galoshes

One week out and the prediction for the enduro on Sunday is for rain or "snow showers," and a high of 47*.

Raise your hand if you learned to race in Seattle. None of you? Bummer.

Mwah-hah-hah-haaaah!

K

Edit - this might be a really good weekend to have that conversation about heater cores that Giles keeps threatening to unleash on me.

I guess that makes me glad that i didn't make it into the HPDE3 then.

Sebastien, who has a heater core, but no heater controls...

Every weather site I go to has something different. I can't see how we would have any snow since temps are supposed to be in lower 50's all three days. THis morning most sites said rain on late Sunday evening. THINK POSITIVE and SUNSHINEY THOUGHTS!

Remember how quickly things changed for the better during last year's NASA Tornado Run at Summit Point

Hey! No off-topic negativity in my pro-rain thread. Boo! Hiss! I want it wet enough that I actually think about disconnecting the rear ARB.

I don't mind rain... it's the in-between crap that annoys me.

When is everyone leaving? I could trade sleeping space for a ride.

Friday evening, as soon as I can sneak out of the office. I'll be leaving from Fair Lakes.

The latest from weather.com....we'll see how it changes between now and then.

Friday - Sunny 49/28
Saturday - Partly Cloudy 51/34 20% chance of precip
Sunday - Showers 50/35 40% chance of precip

Hmmm, rain for the 3.5 hour enduro....hope Hoosier is your rain tire supplier and not Goodyear.

2 years ago i worked the station up by southbend in the horizontal rain... anyone that plans on working a corner bring a couple extra sets of clothes so you have dry clothes to change into after a day on the corner... remember your drinks/snacks... hats, jackets or whatever you feel you might need to layer up. You'll be happy you prepped a little... promise.

Leaving Thursday @ 11AM. Already packed all my rain gear needs in the truck already in hopes of scaring it off. Sorry Kirk.

I'll pack the rest tomorrow evening. I also picked up a nail in my front left tire. Have no idea how long it was in there, but never lost an ounce of pressure. Lucky it was dead center and easily patchable. Guess we'll find out on this nice little 6 hr trip.

Cross your fingers.
