i just bought a b16 s1 tranny with lsd from a H-T member and put it on yesterday but my car makes a weird clicking/popping noise when moving and turning. ive only driven it out of the garage and onto the driveway but the noise happens anytime im moving and the wheel is turned. first i thought it was the axels so i replaced them with a spare set i had but problem is still there. anybody know wuts wrong? the guy that sold me the tranny had a shop check it out and clean it b4 he sold it to me. BTW this is on a 90 integra. thanx for any help.

 

1) how sure about your seller are you?
2) open it up and check anything having to do with the differential associated bearings

 

he had a vouch thread and everybody seemed to like him. thats gonna suck if i have to open it up since its bolted up in my car already.

 

i am having that problem too. Upon slow acceleration it make like a clunking, popping noise. it goes away at speeds of lets say 45ish. Update me with wat you find.
