OT: Hans Stuck @ Nurburgring
Sitting here in my cubicle, my heart was beating hard and I was actually scared at the speed he was taking through some of the sections... I especially like the green flag at the end... As if he wasn't actually going yet
Enjoy!

omfg, you were right about holding my breath and literally being afraid at how fast he's going...
another thing about the 'ring, it's amazing to me how these guys remember where they're supposed to go. with about 45345345 configurations i think i'd make a lot of wrong turns...

I saw Hans Stuck many years ago when BMW decided they were going to back a factory effort to race in IMSA in the U.S. It was an impressive sight back then. I watched the video and love to see someone that fast who is so smooth on the limit. Hans still has it.

You may already know this but, Hans may be the most experienced driver of the Nurburgring. On a SPEED test drive show for the new 5 series last year or so he talked about growing up driving the track for the first time with his father at the age of 8. And spouted out some huge number (many thousand) of the laps he's completed.
He is tied for my favorite driver along with Borris Siad; both on pure skill and personality.

The person you are reffering to there is actually not Hans.
His name is Stefan Rosler and he was a test driver for Ruf. There he is driving a circa 1982 Porsche 911 twin turbo called the Yellowbird. It was sickeningly fast making something like 500hp and he's driving it on some hard a$$ tires that squeal louder than anything I've heard.
He's also driving it in loafers and without any safety gear to speak of.
Both are great videos and on the complete separate ends of the spectrum.
