Default Hatchback too cramped? Can't afford a Tractor/Trailer? Maybe this is what you need:

Saw this in the ads in the back of Sportscar:

http://www.sstrailers.com/

Kinda narrow of track, but it's meant to be compact.

Scott, who knows that when you pull into the paddock with something like this in tow, there's got to be at least one guy standing under the awning of his 53 foot trailer thinking "I wish I'd kept it that simple"...course then he climbs into the trailer, has a posh lunch, and lays down on his California King size bed to catch a quick nap before qualifying while his crew preps the RT-41...

looks like an expensive (and narrow) version of the one you can get at Harbor Freight.

I thought it was a great idea until I saw the $1399 price

I missed that. Ouch!

Scott, who will continue to race out of his hatch a while longer...

GOOD GAWD! I'll take a slightly used 18' open please for that price.

Baller status there.

990 LB. CAPACITY FOLDABLE 4 x 8 FT. UTILITY TRAILER for 189.99 seems like a much better deal. A little less bling, but well... affordable.

For track days, I manage to stuff a set of wheels, toolbox, EZ-up canopy, jack & jack stands, mini compressor, cooler, 2 camp chairs, tarp, 2 helmets, extra fluids and some other odds & ends I'm sure I'm forgetting . . . all into the back of my Civic hatch behind the rollbar.

Whatever you do, don't get 8" wheels for a tire trailer. The 12" upgrade is well worth it.

That's a lot of (a) money, and (b) trailer for what it will hold. Why drag 200# of wheels and frame around to haul 200# of goodies?

When I get home today, I'll unpack from this past weekend's HPDE/TT event at VIR. The Golf will spit out 5 wheel/tire assemblies, a full-sized jack, toolbox, 10' square EZup, 2 jackstands, 2 folding chairs, suit bag, computer bag, 32 gallon bin of parts/stuff, smaller bin with spare rotors and pads, 3 small parts organizers, Isaac box, electric impact, extension cord, a tarp, a ground cloth, and a lunch-sized cooler.

The 650# rear springs compress less than an inch.

One more reason to not race a Miata.

We drive hatchbacks...seriously...where's my other looose boys with the pics of their hatches loaded up? I just got back from Willow Springs, took EVERYTHING with me. Tires, jack, fluids, clothes for a 3 day stay, comfy chair, all in the back of my integra...and I KNOW there's more room in hatches...way over priced for that thing IMO.

Ooooh. Gang razberried by a non-brachiating primate and an profane tangerine with a phallus on its face. I'm sooooo skeered.

The HF one is a true POS with significant gaps between the crossmembers and side rails. Trust me, I just built one last week, and after only 500 miles, I've already fried a wheel bearing. HF =

Oh, and this is the same trailer sold by many other places (Northern Tools, etc), official name brand is not Haulmaster, rather Changzhou Nanxiasio or something like that.
