Dont you love it when your wheel falls off?
I had just had new tires put on my CRX early Saturday morning. So I was leaving work Saturday night (about 5pm) getting on 285 East. I start to notice this vibrating/shaking. So i start to slow down and pull off the road and see what happens. Before I can really do anything the front driver wheel comes off! So i manage to keep it under control and get off to the shoulder. About the time I get the car to a stop the wheel pops out of the fender well and shoots across into traffic, hits a Cadillac and causes a 3 car accident.
I was looking at the damage and noticed all that is messed up. Front driver fender, LCA, rotor, axel, oil pan and various other small damages. The thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that my BBS arent made anymore. The wheels where discontinued in the mid 90s. They where 15x7 and extremely light. They wont be able to be replaced. So long story short, the shop is assuming full responsibility. Im more than likely getting a new set of wheels (of my choice) and my entire car painted.

Damn, thats fucked up. At least you were stopping when you felt that vibration. I work at Discount Tire, some kid came in there saying his wheel was vibrating. He had taken it off earlier for some reason and now it was vibrating. I didn't see anything wrong with it that would make it vibrate, so I went to torque the wheel to make sure it was torqued properly. I could spin all of the lugs with my hand, he was damn lucky they didn't come off.
