H22 Swap Questions
First off, I did search before I posted, but I didn't fid answers for all my questions, so here goes.
The car is a 96 LX, auto. I plan on using a JDM H22A G2 Motor and manual tranny.
I know that the left side mount has to be replaced with a modified prelude piece or Hasport's mount. The things that confused me were the tranny mount, and wiring. Sport Compact Car did a how-to on this swap and they mentioned that you need to either weld on a OEM manual tranny mount or use a piece that hasport makes to use the auto mount. I didn't see any mention of any mounting differences in the "Basic Accord Guide." Also, SCC's artical makes referance to a conversion harness made by Hasport that is "plug and play." I looked on Hasport's website and could not find the tranny mount or the conversion harness. Also, since it will be an auto to manual conversion, what parts do I need besides the mount? I would guess that I need the pedal assem., slave cylinder, linkage, shifter, and maybe a few lines. Is the console the same, execpt for the shifter?
I live in OH, with that comes E-Check(Emmisions). All they do for ODBII cars is plug into the diaognostic port. Since I'll be using a JDM ECU will this cause me to fail?
I know that's a lot all in one shot, but any help or clarification that you can provide is very much welcome
Thanks,
Joe

are you using an obd2 motor? if not, you will fail since the obd1 motors do not have all the sensors as the obd2 cars use...your obd2 diagnostic port will also not work with the obd1 ecu...
