engine rebuild question>>
i am replacing my stock b18 with a b18 block with forged pistons and 11.2:1. i plan to use my existing head with my crower cams (404's i think). will i have any problems using that head with stock valves and no head work? any suggestions or answers would be awesome.
definatly wanna upgrade the valvetrain with the 404s.
u should upgrade springs, retainers, and valves when u do cams to get their full potential anyways. plus, revving to 9k would be sweet.

If you're planning a high CR buildup with some aftermarket pistons and very aggressive cams, you should look at some head work. Even at the very least, the the ports polished and a multi-angle valve job. If you leave the head stock then you're going to get the same air flow through it even with the 404's and higher CR. To get the full potential of those you'll need to work on the head also.
