Default b20 vtec

I want to do a b20 vtec all motor setup. Ive started to read up on this stuff. Im new to hondas and trying to learn all that i can. I have a z6 thats about to expire so im saving for a swap.

b20 block, pr3 or c5 head,skunk2 stage 1 or stage 2 cams w/tit. retainers and springs,(dont know if new piston needed for valve clearance? if so will itr pistons work?) itr intake manifold, itr throttle body, itr exhaust manifold, 2.25 exhaust, ls/vtec conversion kit,gsr tranny and stage 3 clutch

like i said im new to hondas and i dont know all that much yet but im learning. any help on this biuld up would be great. also what would i be able to safely rev to on the stock bottom end? ive heard people going to 8.5k on a street car like mine. but is this going to be reliable for more than 3-4 oil changes?

ok so here's the deal, do you wanna change your bottom end out(keep it stock)? yes or no?

if no, buy the newer b20 blocks ie. b20z2 1999 and up crv's

you can not use itr pistons they are 81mm bore and b20 blocks are 84mm bore.

yes i would like to keep it stock if i can but i just found a c5 complete head thats been pnp, 3 angle valve job, jun stage 3 cams and toda gears that will handle 10,000 rpm for 2500 and a b20 complete longblock for 1100. i didnt ask what year i beleive its a 97 though. I dont know what i would need to do to make it reliable as a daily driver. I was planning on going with blueprinting and balancing the crank. but thats alot of $ I plan on doing that if needed. Also what pistons would i use to raise the compression ratio to something a little higher than 8.4? Also i was planning on using the gsr transmission for the longer gears but would a b16 make that much of an initial difference?

Thanks for all the help.

do it......i have b20z stock bottom end with b16 head...gsr cams.....i put down 190hp-140tq......tuned it a little and walked off with 185hp-152tq....all stock..
also have jdm headers, type r intake, arp head studs, cold air intake....
b20 all the way......rev it only to 8g's and change oil ..and nothing will happen...i have my setup for a year now.....love it

This was on the b20 b16a2 head thread. and he also said his freind has ctr cams and revs to 8.k all day long no problems for a daily driver.
