Default p30 pistons into gsr

im about to put jdm p30 pistons into my gsr block using a gsr head... the CR: will be at around 11:6... is that too high for a daily driven motor?... giving ill be running 94 octane all the time.. will i need any tuning ill be using stock cams in the head also for now... on a chipped p28 ecu i dont really want to get into all that much tuning i heard if you stay away or under 12 CR: you should be fine i was just verifying that on here any takers?

I built a poor mans type r this setup.
b16a2 head (milled)
gsr block
gsr cams
p30 pistons

I run an obd2 computer with a vafc 2 and a fuel pressure regulator. I run 93 shell all day, i haven't bumped up my fuel pressure yet, but i turned it up with my vafc, it will be fine for daily driver.

it will be a little higher but not much to worry bout. just get a vafc an adjustable fuel pressure reg, then get it tuned, you'll be fine. i have heard of people runnin higher than 12:1 daily

just get something to tune it with. dont go for that pos vafc. go standalone so u can change the ignition timing. timing is whats gonna blow the motor. run uberdata if u wanna do it urself or if u wanna pay a **** load of money get hondata

what chip r u running? u better be careful cuz most aftermarket chips bump up the timing so u might start to ping. see if anyone around ur area tunes uberdata. im in ny and i tune peoples cars with uberdata...

edit: lol. just seen that ur from LI. do u go on http://www.b20vtec.com? if ur interested i can hook ya up with uber
yo is this Jay from Team SiR???? cuz if u r then u have nothing to worry about with the motor cuz ur run n uberdata already

i think the compression won't be any higher than 11.6.

you may not really need that much tunning.

people are running that compression on pump gas with no problems. you probably won't need any tuning, but of course you won't get the most out of it without some tuning.

i have same set up dude dont worry about it youll be fine im running abit higher compression than you cause of a milled head but youll be good no ping and make sure you have fuel like ar 45psi and if it does retard your timing a 2 degrees

Why does everyone say that hondata is a shitload of money? It only costs 250-280, which is friggin CHEAP for what it does..

I was looking into hondata, but it seems I need the harness for ~100 and a new ecu for ~200? since I have a obdII car.
