Just Purchased an S - What Rims do I get for Snow Tires?
I purchased an S last night from Acura of Boston. I'll be driving in snow and need to get a set of rims for snow tires.
Sounds like Prelude rims will work fine. What other rims should I look for?

Get the smallest steel ones that will still fit over your brakes . . . . and resign yourself to a car that looks like crap for the winter.
Beats getting in an accident by a long shot.

I'm not sure I can bring myself to put steel rims on this car. What do you think of removing the OEM tires and mounting the snow tires on the stock rims?

It'll work alright - but 16" snow tires are usually more expensive than 15" snow tires and wheels combined.
And with 15's you've got more available sizes - so you can use a narrower section width.

I decided to go for Artic Alpins in the stock size, instead of ordering steelies in a smaller size. I have the Alpins on my ITR and they work great.
Four Alpins in 205/55-16 came to $400 w/ shipping. Another $60 for my tire shop to mount them.
Four steelies w/ alpins in 195 - 15, four plastic hub caps, and shipping was $680.
