Default 2 really dumb questions

im looking into some new slicks and of course the manufacturer recommends tubes. i havent ran tubes in either set of my previous slicks but they were 15" slicks. i will now go to a 24.5/7/13 MT. you guys that have this size or similar run tubes?
im also looking into a new clutch, im really leaning towards a unsprung clutch but my car is all motor. im not lookin at anything thats goin to shatter my tranny apart but i want some good engagement. any comments from guys that actually have fast cars??? 13 and 14 second cars need not apply unless ur friends have fast cars. BTW i drop my clutch at 8k or above so its goin to get abused badly.

I was running the 24.5/7/13 a while back without tubes and it works great. I was getting like low 1.6's on a street car. For clutch wise I would recomend the tilton single disk ceramic disk. Its about $1000 bucks and its perfect for any all motor car.

maybe you would want to run a heavy duty pressure plate with an un sprung 6 puck disc. ive had the heavy duty pressure plate, and the xtreme presure plate, ...... the extreme, chatters like all hell, and almost tears the dash out of the car every time. the heavy duty on the other hand is almost tolerable. and grabs really good.(turbo street car) ive never tried them on slicks, so all that might change with the simple swap from a street tire to a slick. good luck.

i ran 24.5 slicks (tubless) with my turbo car, with a tilton twin disc. i wont metion the price tag on that, but tilton products is the way to go, and for an all motor application the tilton single disc would be my choice.
just think youll never need to buy a clutch again!

I run 24.5-9-13's without tubes. I've even run them on about 5psi before. I cut 1.55-1.61 60ft's allday with 6-7psi in the tyres without wheelie bars or bead lockers. As for the clutch I couldnt help you here I still havent sorted a good one out for my car.

for a SUPER poorman's clutch with stock pedal feel, but grippy engaugement, i reccomend for all motor use, because thets all we have ran it as. Just buy a ACT 6 puck unsprung disc and bomb it in your stock pressure plate/flywheel. We have logged over 10,000 VERY VERY VERY HARD miles on it. works like a champ!

Only 95$ plus shipping on ebay.

hey, i'd definitely recommend getting disc with no springs, those things can break loose expecially on an all motor car and rip right through your tranny casing. it's not that bad, just slip alot after a few hours of driving in traffic you get used to it.
