Default Main Relay clicks like a Semi Auto SHOTGUN

89 civic dx :
alright when i turn the key to the run position the main relay starts
clicking like crazy . the engine cranks but does not fire. i have spark
and fuel just no start. no blown fuses, all connections ok, except
broken wire to 02sensor on exhaust manifold. what would cause something like this? any suggestions are helpful

this happened to me when my ignitor went inside my distributor
do some searches for ignitor problems and see if that sounds like your problem.

Ignition Starter Switch. When this goes out you can crank the motor over and it will start for approximately 1/2 a second. It can also screw with the main relay if there is a short in ignition wires or ignition switch itself. My guess would be either a ground or ignition switch. $78 plus tax at Checker Auto parts or your local parts store.

check the basics, maybe a dis. cap and rotor? This happened to me yesterday. It definitly sounds like an ignition problem.
