way OT: anyone want to trade ITR for 88 M5?
i have a MINT 1988 BMW ///M5 with ONLY 79k ORIGINAL MILES! black/tan, the car is absolutely perfect. this car is easily worth 20k, but i would like to trade for an ITR plus cash.
you put up cash, or the ITR owner has to put up cash?
good luck thats a long shot either way.
no offense but trying to find someone to trade their 97-01 car for a 88 might be sorta hard.
Good Luck Though!

You would think so, but I guess logic escapes most.
Good luck on the trade.

Despite how old the car is, it has some nice stylish features. Check it out.

Here are the cold hard facts on the 1998 BMW M5 Sedan:
MSRP: $47,500
LOW RETAIL VALUE: $8,000
HIGH RETAIL VALUE: $10,800
ENGINE: 3.6L V6 256hp
TRANSMISSION: 5-spd Manual w/Limited Slip Dif.
BRAKES: 4-wheel (non vented) disc w/ABS
1/4 MILE: N/A
0-60: N/A
All I have to say is good luck finding a trade. I would suggest holding on to it. Its definately got classic potential IMO. Even though it was relatively mas produced you own an M5

Brandon

if you look in the Roundel magazine (BMWCCA magazine for those who don't know), they are being advertized for around 16-19k each and every one with well over 100k miles.
not really expecting this to work out, just throwing it out there for a possibility......ya never know.

Autotrader.com has 9 '88 M5s. One at $19,500, the rest around $12,000 with over 100k miles. I like E28s alot but not for anywhere near $10k.
Resale is phenominal, but only hardcore M enthusiasts will bite. Keep that classic.

Thats never gonna happen... If your car is worth more than double what it "high Books" for then do the most logical thing and sell the BMW and then buy an ITR.... Because I can assure you that it ain't gonna get no trades let alone your car plus cash..... LMAO... best wishes
Isn't that the caR that Chevy Chase had in "Nothing But Trouble"?
If so, then I love that car.
On a side note, you have a better chance of catching a VD from a nun than getting a trade.
