Default I've got a Z-Dyne ECU, and 550CC injectors for a DSM from Venom. Should I be using a resistor Box?

I've got Venom Upgrade injectors for a DSM, 550cc's and I'm running them with my Z-Dyne ecu... Will I burn up my ecu if I'm not using a resistor box?!?!

The post about wiring in the resistor box has got me scared now... I've got about 1500 miles on the car with out one, but I don't want to damage my $1000 toy!

Anyone know? Can I measure the OHM load in the injectors to tell if I should or should not be using the Resistor Box?

Depends on what kind of ECU you're using and which injector system it used stock. If it's a 92+ B-series ECU, then you'll need one becuase that ECU used saturated injectos..

No, you don't need one, you already have one in your car. 91 and below honda's came with ressistor packs. You should've fried your ECU by now. If you need re assurance your resistor pack migh be located by the drivers side shock tower.

All Z-Dyne's are made from 4th gen ECU's. Mine personally is from a CRX HF

How would the ECU make the difference? Honda put in the injector resistor box so that the ECU's would be all the same, no matter the injector type.

My resistor box has been removed since we installed my B16a 3 years ago. It's on my desk at home actually. I've been wondering if I should reinstall it....
