The drivers side should still work, however i belive you will get an srs light, theres is a way to bypass it but i dont know off the top of my head and you should really just keep your airbag in there. Its there for a reason to save your buddys life in an acident.

to people who remove there airbags to buy jdm crap cause it looks nice. Remember all the bling bling wont help you in an acident.

Isnt the SRS system non-functioning when the SRS light is on? :\

Your going to be pissed when your passenger gets blood all over your m@d tit3 jdm y0! airbag tray when their face slams into the dash when you are out driving like da mad stunna y0!

you should only remove your airbags when you have harnesses.

I cant belive what im reading, you should never tamper with your airbag system period.

END OF STORY

But to answer your question yes the system will still work that light is on only to inform you that part of the system isent functioning as it should. If you leave that unchecked however if you do get a proplem later on you wont know because the light will already be on and you wouldent know.

Common sense = Safety> Jdm

If the SRS light is ever on, it usually means you have a 50/50 chance of that bag opening up in an accident... not too good

Its actually not japanese, its canadian. The jdm ones are angled the wrong way.

And i totally agree with what was said above, dont mess with your aigbag system. The only reason i have the tray is i installed a ITR dash which has a passanger airbag, but my 93 doesnt have a passanger airbag.

You can buy the tray from honda, jdmhondaparts, jdmshit, etc etc.

It's funny how much here say is on this site, and how many people step forward that don't have the right answer to the question...Just speculation and rumors.

Seriously, unless you are a crash expert and work for the national institute of safety...Chill with the accusational posts.

Saying that removing it is stupid is ignorant. If you have anything other than the stock seatbelts, seats, etc, or if you are extremely short or tall, the airbags might not work, may hurt you, and may even kill you. They are intended for the stock setup, and will work with the stock setup. Modify that and you have modified your chances of it actually protecting you.

Your best bet will be getting an SRS brain from a 92 civic or 93 del sol. They only ran the driver's side bags. You shouldn't have an SRS light then, and the driver's side bag should work properly.

thats sweet, so I have a Q...

my drivers airbag is removed because of a mommo wheel, and my srs light is on. Now does this mean my passenger bag still has a chance to go off...?
