finally got some street tire times!
well...after the results from the IM test, i was feeling a little down on my car. I got bored and took it to the local 1/8 today to have some fun runs.
reaction: .736 (eh...)
60 ft: 1.983
1/16: 5.517
1/8 et: 8.365
1/8 mph: 86.980
this was on 185/65/14 Aqua Tread 3's (640 tread wear
) @ 20psi
i really need to get out on some slicks...haha

thanks, dustin
i was really suprised at the 8.3...honestly. I mean, i'm NOT a good driver......but, i guess i just got lucky, haha.
i'm pulling the engine tommorrow, though. i want a little more than 11.0:1 compression

based on that MPH rob it should net u a high high 12 second pass at that 1/8 ET and MPH. on my 13.004 run on my DRs i ran 8.3? 1/8th also but at 84MPH.
just for reference rob, my setup was
motor: 1.8L 11.3:1, ITR head, 00 SI IM/TB, JUN III cams, 3" generic short ram w/foam filter, VAFC, JDM DC 4-1, 2 3/4" exhaust to rear lower CA, generic skunk2 program. car made 195/130 untuned the next season with fuel delivery changes and ITR IM/TB.
drivetrain suspension: ITR tranny, exedy organic clutch, 205/45/15 nitto DRs, stock blown front struts on cut lowering springs and the car weighed right around 2170 w/ me in it.

car:93 DX hatch, removed rear bumper, taped up front bumper, CF hood, removed pasenger/rear seats, passenger headlight, and panels. IT's still the heaviest hatch i've had... and wieghs over 2200 with me in it...
suspension:D2 coilovers, D2 LCA's...unaligned..set to stiffest setting in front/rear
wheel/tires: front 185/65/14 Aqua Tread 3's on stock EX steelies @ 20psi; rear 205/50/16 cheap tires on Rota C8's @ i don't know psi
engine: 96 spec ITR built by RLZ... 85mm AEBS sleeves, -1cc weisco customs, carillio a-beam rods, 92mm crower crank, RLZ stage 3 cams, RLZ valvetrain, thicker cometic headgasket (puts me at 11.0:1), JG engine dynamics intake manfiold (the one used in the recent Tbone I/M testing), JDM DC header (crap), generic short ram with no filter, stock GSR throttle body (crap), tuned to 8300 rpm (should be 9500), only a/f tuning (no timing or cam gear tuning), running open header.
This engine, with a recently removed AN-R compact/merge header, did 214whp and 158 ft/lbs with just the a/f tuning and through a 60mm exhaust.
transmission: S4c with Kaaz LSD, CM aluminum flywheel, ACT exxtreme pressure plate, local made 6 puck unsprung clutch
i did a decent burnout in 2nd...but didn't ever leave the water box..oops.. I launched around 4000 slipping the clutch
the engine isn't running where it needs to be right now....from lack of complete tuning..but i haven't really stressed it enough, sicne i'm pulling the engine today. I'm painting the hatch..and redoing a few things on the engine that I want to address...and i'm coming back with a lighter chassis, a LOT more power, and slicks

car isnt that hard to launch. i pulled a 2.10 with it the one time he let me run it
anyway. i can vouch for the 1.9 60' on those 185s, along with the rest of the story. the car is running like complete ***, it barely wants to rev up down low. but it pulls really hard up top(shifting at 8300 sucks!)
