I've searched and haven't come up with much of anything that can help me. Just people WTB things and FS stuff. Nothing really lumped together. So anyway, it's about I fix my d16z6 and was wondering about building and replacing the parts. First off, is it worth it?
Second, the syncros for 1st and 2nd are shot. I'm wondering where I can buy some better syncros that will take more stress than OEM ones.
Third, what about replacing the shifter forks? Getting stronger ones, just so I don't have any problems in the future. Also should I go with OEM ones or after market.
Fourth, there's a lot of info on building b series trannies but not a lot for the D. Any places to look? What kind of experience have you guys had with building D16 trannies.
Fifth, how about prices, is it worth it? How are parts? Are they pretty expensive or would it just be better to replace it with a newer one. Even though this may be the case I'm still interested in building the one I have.
Thanks for your help.
If there's anything else you'd like to add feel free to, im all ears.
P.S. Sorry my questions are a little sparce and sound a little retarded

Is it a built tranny? They don't have prices on there. Sorry I'm a little confused it looks like they supply OEM trannies right? And then built up trannies. I was interested in building myself, I notice they have carbon coated syncros which will come in handy, thanks.
I was also interested in doing most of the work myself. Sorry I forgot to mention that.
Thanks BTW.

Its not that hard to rebuild your tranny.
I would recomend the steel rather then the aluminum shift forks im not sure if yours came with steel or aluminum shifters.
As for the syncros im not sure of any aftermaket upgrades, but it takes a lot to mess those up. If you have proplems that bad i would day start double clutching so you dont put so much stress on them.
Anyhow if you have questions on how to rebuild your tranny hit me up ive done mine a few times piece of cake.
Edit:
What kind of proplems where you having to begine with? I missed that in the original post, besides the syncro proplems. You could try that Gm Syncro Mesh if thats your only proplem ive heard it work wonders for a lot of ppl.

Wow's that's all I could ask for. Grinding gears pretty much from 1-2nd. Im pretty had on the car and since Im building the d16, I'm going to be making much more power than it's probably meant to handle, so I want to save myself sometime by fixing and replacing everything now so I won't have to worry about it later. Also I want to learn some stuff along the way too.(which i enjoy) Im sure i'll have some questions along the way so pre-thanks for the help
Glad to hear someone around here has done one and know what's going on. Thanks a bunch.
Edit: You've got some good stuff in your sig too btw.

I try i have a white sheet on how to rebuild the tranny specs and what not if you want it let me know. ITs mostly specs and part numbers not so much how too, but its not to hard to figure out. The numbers are whats important.
Thanks those were just the important ones i have more if you search archived content under my user name. Soon to come how to replace the Master Brake cylinder only cause i dident see one.
