Default crx engine swap

i am trying to decide between a d16y8 and a d16z6. im just looking for your guys opinions on which one would be better, i have a 91 crx dx, and i am going to switch to obd1, any suggestions will be appriciated thanks.

The z6 head in stock form flows better, by the y8's intake manifolds is better...

y8's dip stick is off ot the side..

yeah whichever you can get cheaper is probably your best bet.

I would go with the Z6 as it probably going to run cheaper, OBD-1, and the it doesn't have the bottem end design flaw that the Y8 has.

the oil pump issue im assuming...

you can swap the z6 oil pump and oil pan and you'll be fine though...

Cliff notes on the flaw - The D16Yx series of motors exhibit the tendency to have oil feed issues in the bottom end there by causing spun bearings and related damages compared to other SOHC D-Series Motors.

Documentation - I'm still looking, the one time I don't bookmark something.
