question about the spoon stroker kit for b16b
I got a few questions about this kit. I know it is strickly for the taller deck b16b motor but would it work in a b16a motor with a thicker head gasket?
I guessing it would give the same compression or more as putting ctr pistons in a b16a block.

No. A B16b has the same deck height as a gsr. If you put that kit in a b16A, you'd go right through your head....
Basically a B16B is a destroked B18C. So by using the Spoon stroker kit...which gives you the same stroke as a B18C...and the same compression as a ITR with a 2-layer head gasket...you've basically created a ITR shortblock.

A couple more questions about this:
1) Can I just drop this complete kit into a B18C?
2) Anyone know the difference between the kit for the ITR & GSR http://www.modacar.com/product...DAENK
3) What bearings are you supposed to use with these?
I'm considering this, if it's possible because I may have access to a bare B18C1, but it has no crank.

Yeah, plus buying a itr crank w/ aftermarket rods and pistons would be probably alot cheaper.
The only thing your paying for in that kit is the spoon bling.
