wheel wont turn, did i mess up my ball joint??
Im still trying to pop the lowe ball joints so i can remove the axle, then the engine. I got a pickle fork which is doing absolutely NOTHING no matter how hard I pound on it. When I started trying to pop it the wheel was turned all the way to the right, now I cant move it at all. its stuck real good and its up in the air so it should move easily. what would be causing this ??
Im about just to cut the stock axles in half so i can pull the motor today but I know that eventually Im going to have to pop these lower joints.

Did you mess up your tie rod ends?
I dont even use a pickle fork to pull my balljoints apart, I use the lever thing from my floor jack and put it ontop of the lower arm and usually go after it with a big hammer...
best advice i can give is just go after it with that pickel fork...you're going to want to get new balljoints and put them in...balljoints are nothing to half *** with.

I didnt even touch the tie rods, so I have no idea why the wheel wont turn. argggh, back to the garage to pound on the pickle fork for awhile and get no where. Anyone in NEPA (northeastern pa) wanna come help me out for some cash + free beer ??
"GitR DONE"
Sorry, I'm half hick.
I couldn't get the upper balljoint seperated one time and I needed to change the lower balljoint (The kid that had the car before me was a complete *** **** and stripped it out, so what did he do...put some ******* washers above the castle nut =/ no cotter piin either) Yeah so my only choice to put the new balljoint in was to sit there and crack on it with only about foot and a half worth of swinging room...yeah 2 hours later and a some PB blaster it came out. )
just go ape **** on it y0

I will probably end up doing that but i already messed up the boot so thats going to have to be replaced. I am going to get polyurethane bushings pressed in so i guess i mide as well start ripping the entire suspension out.
BTW, the wheel not turning was the most obvious thing, but you all overlooked it!! I didnt have the key in the ignition and the wheel was locked. I though i really fugged up something when it wouldnt turn

I was going to suggest that but I gave common sesne too much credit.
